葉鞘具有一定的吸水性，可承接杯底產生的少量水氣。隨著使用時間增加，杯墊表面可能留下水痕、色澤變化或輕微翹曲，這些變化也會逐漸成為材料使用後的痕跡。
鞘杯墊以單片葉鞘製作，不另外覆蓋材料原有的紋理。不同的纖維、深淺與邊緣形態，使每件成品都略有差異。
The Sheath Coaster is cut from betel nut sheath, preserving the material’s original fiber direction, tones, and natural markings. Each surface is slightly different. After being cleaned, flattened, and trimmed, the sheath becomes a small object for everyday use.
The material has a degree of absorbency and can hold small amounts of moisture from the bottom of a cup. With continued use, water marks, changes in tone, or slight curling may appear. These changes gradually become part of the material’s natural aging process.
Each coaster is made from a single piece of sheath without covering its original surface. Variations in fiber, color, and edge shape make every piece slightly different.
葉鞘コースターは、ビンロウの葉鞘を裁断し、素材本来の繊維の方向、色合い、自然な痕跡を残して制作しています。葉鞘の表情は一枚ごとに異なり、洗浄、平らに整える工程、縁の仕上げを経て、日常で使う小さな道具になります。
葉鞘には適度な吸水性があり、グラスやカップの底についた少量の水分を受け止めます。使い続けるうちに、水の跡や色の変化、わずかな反りが生じることがあります。こうした変化も、素材が使われてきた時間の痕跡となります。
表面を別の素材で覆わず、一枚の葉鞘がもつ繊維や濃淡、縁の形をそのまま生かしています。そのため、仕上がりは一つひとつわずかに異なります。

Use and Care
適合放置一般冷飲或熱飲杯具。使用後若杯墊受潮，請置於通風處自然乾燥，避免長時間浸水或在潮濕狀態下堆疊收納。
若乾燥後出現輕微翹曲，可直接以高溫熨斗短時間輕壓整平。熨燙時請保持移動，避免長時間停留在同一位置。
Suitable for everyday hot or cold drinkware. If the coaster becomes damp, allow it to air-dry in a well-ventilated place. Avoid prolonged soaking or stacking while wet.
If slight curling occurs after drying, press the coaster briefly with a hot iron to flatten it. Keep the iron moving and avoid leaving it in one spot for too long.
日常の温かい飲み物、冷たい飲み物のどちらにもお使いいただけます。使用後に湿った場合は、風通しのよい場所で自然乾燥させてください。長時間水に浸したり、濡れたまま重ねて保管したりしないでください。
乾燥後にわずかな反りが生じた場合は、高温のアイロンを直接当て、短時間軽く押さえて整えることができます。同じ場所に長く当て続けないよう、アイロンを動かしながら使用してください。
